Kenneth Winfield Bogle, 91,  of  Acworth  died  Friday,  January 9, 2009, at  Valley  Regional  Hospital  in Claremont.
 
He was born September 26, 1917, the son of Dale and Ina (Wyman) Bogle.

He graduated from Stevens High School in 1936.

He married Sadie Johnson on October 2, 1937. Mrs. Bogle died in August of 1979. He married Gladys Ring on January 1, 1981. She died on November 8, 2000. 
 
Mr. Bogle is survived by his son Brian and his wife Nancy; three grandchildren, Karen Leahy and her husband Michael of Claremont, Scott Bogle and his wife Debbie of Lebanon, Peter Bogle and his partner Steve Bertram of Midhurst, Ontario; four great-grandchildren, Brittany and Tyler Leahy, Ashley and Courtney Bogle and their mother, Carrie Bogle, all of Claremont; and three step-children, Carol Wallace, Wayne Ring, and Brian Ring.

He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Claremont before moving to Acworth. After moving, he became a member of the United Church of Acworth.

He worked for Railway Express and Holmes Transportation for nearly 40 years before retiring in the 1970s. After moving to Acworth, he became the sexton of the local cemetery, a job he enjoyed very much, retiring at the age of 90. He delivered Friendly Meals up until his death. He also worked as an election official counting ballots for many years. He was known around town as a very friendly man who loved talking with people. He will be sorely missed.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 17 at the Church on the Hill in Acworth. At his request, there were no calling hours.

Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Church of Acworth or to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Claremont.
