ACWORTH PLANNING BOARD WORK SESSION MEETING OPEN: 7:10 PM

DISCUSSION: · Resolve the discrepancy in the Zoning Ordinance language and map of South Acworth Village District· Possibly change ZO Article IV, B-3 which currently states: "With subdivision approval from the Planning Board, a second dwelling or other principal use or principal building may be constructed on a lot provided that the lot area and lot frontage are twice the minimum required for the district. Otherwise, only one principal building or use will be permitted per lot." DR suggested modifying this section to limit the size of the second dwelling which would correlate to the size of a garage; or possibly have a size ratio between the primary and secondary dwelling. Shared septic could also cause potential problematic issues when ownership changes. DR and GA discussed the possibility of not requiring a building permit for a structure with a small footprint. Concluded that our current system should remain so that PB can monitor compliance with setbacks and other ZO requirements, also for tax purposes. Meeting adjourned: 8:05 PM
