ROB VOGEL – FOR THREE-YEAR TERM ON THE BUDGET COMMITTEE I have been an alternate on the Planning Board since June 2008 and a full member of the Planning Board since March 2009. Last year, as a member of the Planning Board I worked on revising the Capital Improvements Program, which is used as a budgetary planning tool to keep the town’s tax rate stable. I’m also a member of the Road Advisory Committee. We meet to discuss capital road projects and work to find ways to complete those projects in the least expensive most cost effective manner possible. I have run my own business in partnership with two partners and have been involved in managing the finances, and budgeting the business for 20 years. My interest in serving on the Budget Committee is to keep a level tax rate without fluctuation spikes. Like everyone else in town I don’t want my taxes to go up, but I also believe we should have a budget that allows us to accomplish work that needs to get done. |
