WINTER CARNIVAL

This  full  day  of  fun   for  the  entire  family   will include a broom hockey tournament on the ice rink, kids’ events and snowshoe and x-country races behind the Village Store. Lots of great food will be available in the Mica Shed at the ice rink, such as Smokin’ Joe’s pulled pork sandwiches, homemade chili and hot dogs, hamburgers and sausage cooked on an outdoor grill. Chips, snacks and hot and cold beverages will be for sale in the Village Store.

Snowmobilers are welcome to ride in to this event to get hot food and participate in the festivities.

On Saturday,  February 19, 2011,  the South Acworth Village Store will host the second annual  Winter Carnival at the ice rink on the corner of 123-A and Beryl Mountain Road and behind the Village Store in South Acworth, NH. Beginning at 10:00 AM. Free admission.

There is a $30 fee for teams to register for the broom hockey tournament.  To register call Mary Lord, 603-835-2046.

End the day by dancing the night away to live music in the Acworth Town Hall from 8:00 PM – midnight. Local musicians Bill Symonds and Friends will provide irresistibly danceable beats. Light refreshments. Admission: $10.

The Winter Carnival is sponsored by the Acworth Recreation Department. All proceeds from this event will benefit the South Acworth Village Store.
